Dubbing

(1) The act of re-recording sound effectslocation sound, music, dialog, and/or Foley. Usually used to refer to the substitution of a foreign language or other replacement for the original dialog track in a film or TV production.

(2) The process of making a copy or copies of a recorded analog or digital original. (3) To mix together onto a single track all of the separate edited soundtracksound tracks of a film or television production. See re-recordingdubbing theater and transfer.
