The trade name for a type of synchronous motor used to drive the projector, dubbers, and recorder in the dubbing, mixing, or re-recording theater. These motors, when connected to the generators and drive motors, will run in rigid interlock with one another, starting, running, slowing down, and running in reverse without loss of sync.
