Sound Designer II. The audio format native to Digidesign’s Sound Designer™ II (Macintosh) audio editing program. The original SoundDesigner format supports uncompressed, 16-bit mono sound files at several sampling rates. SDII supports 16-bit stereo files with sampling rates up to 48kHz; ADPCM compression is available at 2:1 and 4:1 ratios.
